Es ist wieder Montag. Und das heißt, es gibt auch heute wieder den Cover Monday der lieben Maura.
Heute stelle ich euch das Cover von "A thousand pieces of you" vor.
Klappentext: As the daughter of two prominent physicists, Marguerite Caine is no stranger to wild scientific theories. Her mother's latest invention is a device called the Firebird, which allows people to leap into other dimensions and has catapulted them to instant fame. But then Marguerite's father is murdered, and her parent's research stolen. All the evidence points to their enigmatic assistant Paul, but before the law can touch him, he slips into another dimension.
Marguerite decides to take matters into her own hands and go after Paul. As she chases him through various dimensions, Marguerite encounters different versions of herself there's a futuristic London where she's a club hopping orphan, a Tsarist Russia where she's royalty, and a dimension eerily similar to her own where her father is alive. But as she gets closer to Paul, she realizes she may be chasing the wrong guy...and the truth behind her father's death is more sinister than she could ever imagine. And Marguerite is swept into an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous.
Das Cover finde ich so schön und das Buch selbst ist schon bei mir auf der Wunschliste. Ich finde es ist wirklich gut gemacht mit diesen zwei Städten, oben halt diese graue Großstadt und dann wie im Untergrund die bunte orientalische Stadt. Auch der Klappentext dazu klingt sehr interessant.

AntwortenLöschenDie Idee von dem Cover find ich toll und es wirkt auch auf den ersten Blick richtig schön. Wenn ich aber genauer hingucke, fallen mir kleine Details auf, die ich nicht so schön umgesetzt finde - aber insgesamt auf jeden Fall ein Hingucker :)

AntwortenLöschenich selber kenne das Buch nicht (lese aber auch keine Englisch-sprachigen Bücher)... aber das Cover ist der Hammer... Wenn es vor mir läge im Buchhandel und in Deutsch wäre, käme es sofort mit ;)

AntwortenLöschendas ist ja mal ein interessantes Cover. Ein totaler Blickfang! Mir gefällt es wirklich gut. Obwohl ich gestehen muss, dass mir weder Titel noch Autor etwas sagen. Aber jetzt bin ich neugierig geworden :)
